Number of CRISPR publications increases by 1,453% from 2011-2016

Since 2011 the number of peer-reviewed scientific papers with CRISPR in the title or abstract has increased by 1,453% with no indications of slowing down.  Since early work studying yogurt bacterial cultures, CRISPR has been used to cure disease in both mice and human stem cells paving the way for potential new therapies.  With CRISPR drug trials slated for 2017 CRISPR appears to be here to stay.
