How to honor the graduate students and postdocs working in science

The names of Doudna, Charpentier, Zhang, and Church have become synonymous with CRISPR and gene editing, however the actual bench work leading to this technology was completed by Graduate Students and Post Docs.  In science the honor and awards tend to go to the head of the lab, while overlooking the first author on the publications.  This article examines the people who completed the CRISPR research and how CRISPR has impacted their professional lives.
